ARFF RECRUITMENT STEPS & HOW THE AFA CAN HELP
Stage 1: Online Application
Candidates submit an online application to begin the recruitment process. AFA’s Resume Builder Course ensures applications are professional, concise, and tailored to showcase the candidate’s suitability. The Application Readiness Course helps candidates confirm they meet ARFF eligibility requirements and complete all necessary documentation.
Stage 2: Online Ability Assessment
This stage tests candidates on cognitive skills, including problem-solving and reasoning. The Cognitive Aptitude Course equips candidates with the strategies and practice materials needed to excel in verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning tests, providing the confidence to perform well.
Stage 3: Interview and Further Assessment
Candidates participate in interviews and additional assessments, including group exercises. AFA’s Panel Interview Course prepares candidates to deliver professional, impactful answers that align with ARFF values, while the Online Interview Course ensures candidates are confident in virtual or in-person settings. For group assessments, the Group Interview Course builds teamwork and communication skills, helping candidates excel in collaborative tasks.
Stage 4: Medical and Security Checks
Candidates undergo medical evaluations and security checks. The Medical Screening Course guides candidates through the medical requirements, helping them prepare necessary documentation and meet health standards. The Application Readiness Course ensures all security-related documentation, such as background checks, meets ARFF expectations.
Stage 5: Successful Application
Upon passing all stages, candidates transition into recruit training. AFA’s Recruit Course Prep Course ensures candidates are physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared to start their training with confidence. The Fortnightly Online Sessions with Firefighters provide ongoing mentorship, allowing candidates to gain insights from experienced professionals as they prepare to join ARFF.
